face mask friday

It is face mask Friday and I am back here to review another mask for you all. I am so glad it’s the weekend. Every Friday I love to test and review a different mask for you. Sort of like try before you buy, except I am trying it. But giving you a more in-depth review than you get on other websites. Skincare is and should be important to everyone. If you think about it, your face is always on show and at all times. Why would you look after your teeth, eyes and general health but your skin? My go to for masks is ones, that will help my skin type which is normal to dry but if a mask jumps out at me, I will try that one too.

skincare

This week’s mask is from Simple Cosmetics. A brand of which I love. Really good for sensitive skin and fits all skin types. It’s 100% free from artificial colour and perfume and has no harsh chemicals that can upset your skin. Blended with vitamin C, E and organic ginger root. The mask is to help brighten your skin and can be used weekly to clear dull, dead skin cells and soothe sensitivity. Clay masks are one of my favourites and this of course is a clay mask. To work and leave your skin bright and draw out the impurities, while reviving with oxygen and minerals for radiant skin.

simple

Let’s talk packaging. Now for Simple, this isn’t simple. I like how its white with the orange, peach sort of colour writing but for me simple is green and white. Maybe a touch of pink. Anyway, the tube was dirty from I guess shipping, but it removed with effort with a simple face wipe. It is simple but doesn’t shout Simple at me. The back of the tube has all the have to information like ingredients and the instructions.

face mask

Always look at the instructions, which are normally on the back like these are. It is a 5-7-minute leave on mask. this is where masks can surprise you. Not all are average times. I’ve had a minute leave on and a 30-minute leave on. This is a fairly short time to leave on really.

skincare

It tells you to apply to a clean, dry face. Which I did. Most masks to be honest do but again some do surprise you! I have stopped applying with a face mask brush because I can get better coverage using my fingers. Really easy to apply. White in colour and a little goes a long way. Avoid eyes, lips and hair lines. Another thing that it tells you to do, but no matter how much you try it gets on them areas!

clay mask

I probably used an eighth of the tube. Which is really good value and quantity for a mask. Especially with this being a mask to uses once or twice weekly. It was on offer when I brought it, at £2.49 but still a good price at the normal price of £4.99. £0.62 per use (normal) £0.31 per use (offer). Can’t get many cheaper than that!

face mask

Seven minutes is no time at all really. Hence why you can’t say you don’t have time for skincare. It isn’t like you have to even just sit there for the time. You can move about, do what you want. Housework, cook the dinner, watch something, read, anything! What can you do in five minutes?

clay mask

For the 7-minute leave time, I was surprised that this mask had dried! When I have used other clay masks for 20 minutes say, they aren’t full dry. But this was and where my skin needed more work, you couldn’t even see the mask. As the mask dried it turned from white to a grey/blue colour. With the patch on my forehead looking like no mask was ever placed there and the stripe on my cheek.

clay mask

Something I love and I don’t know why, is when masks dry. You know when you try to smile, and it cracks, or you can hardly make the emotion. Weird as that may be. It is true and I love to see it crack as you force the emotion.

face mask

When the 7 minutes were up. I simply wet a flannel slightly and washed my face. It was actually easy to come off and I didn’t have to keep washing the flannel. Half the time I have to wash the flannel at least 5 times. This was only a couple. There was no pressure needed to rub it off either. Though it had set and had worked, it came off so easy.

face mask

My face felt and still feels soft and smooth. Ever so slightly too oily on my forehead. It feels really go in really good condition. No dry patches or areas of need. Soft to use and didn’t overpower on my sensitive skin. The night I used the mask you could definitely see the glow and my face was brightened.

skincare

One thing that surprised me was that there was no seal on it. Which to me, maybe this had been tested out before hand on the shelf in a shop or something. I don’t know really but I used it. It just surprised me.

skincare

Whether this mask is on offer or not. It is a reasonable price for the bottle. Per use is pence which is so good. To think If you used this weekly, it would last 2 months. (8 weeks). So, value and quality are definitely a pro. Can’t overly fault it for affordability.

skincare

It works as it says it should. That is something not all masks do. Being a light but workable mask, benefits everyone and the amount you need is amazing. The glow and my brightened skin looked amazing and now still soft and smooth. For results you need this mask.

skincare

I love this, one because it’s a clay mask. It takes 7 minutes which is fairly short and workable. The price is amazing for a bottle and per mask price. Results within the 7 minutes are amazing. That glow it gives you, is so bright and naturally beautiful.

skincare

Simple is a brand I love and will continue to. They never really disappoint, and they must take a lot of time and effort into producing good products. One that everyone can use as well. So reasonably priced and that is good for a brand that works to provide natural nonchemical products.

skincare

The only thing that is a little off putting is that the seal wasn’t there. If products don’t have seals on, they are normally in a sealed box. This was just open. There wasn’t any packaging around it other than the bottle its in. Opening the lid to the mask to be there at the opening. I don’t know just not 100% sure I feel this wasn’t used before me.

skincare

So, I would say go get this mask! Go use this clay mask and see the amazing results for yourself! What is your go to mask at the minute?
