face mask friday

It is start to the weekend. The perfect time for a bit of skincare and get ready to look good for the weekend. Skincare is important to me and should be for everyone. Never too late or too early to start! Every week I try and review a different face mask for you all. Most are to help my skin type, which is normal to dry, but others just take my fancy and end up in my basket as well.

skincare

This week is by the well known brand Sanctuary Spa. A brand I have only tried once before. But that ended up as one of my favourite masks, I have tried. So I have high hopes for this one. Their warm micro dermabrasion refining polish is a gentle, yet powerful exfoliator that leaves your skin glowing. It gently warms whilst applying and the scrub uses marine particles to buff away dead cells and impurities, whilst unclogging pores and stimulating circulation. The wheatgerm oils work to infuse the skin with a natural looking radiance while jojoba oil replenishes hydration for a silky soft and luminous finish.

The tube is orange which is one of Sanctuary Spa’s common colours to use. It is nothing wow to be fair and its a normal and kinda boring. This is a product where you have to read to be interested. All this is is a tube, with the branding and the title of the product. A bit about what I do and the best thing is that it’s cruelty free and 100% natural.

On the back is a whole lot of writing. If you aren’t blind you may be able to read this. I only read the instructions, as I do on any face masks. Though this isn’t technically a proper mask, you leave this on for a while and it was from the face mask skincare section. The instructions are the key factor to the back anyway. As long as you read them you are good to go. Maybe the instructions would be a good to read as well, if you need to.

Following the instructions, it asks you to start with a damp face. Take a small amount of mask and massage it in, ‘small circular motions upwards across your face, paying attention to your nose, forehead and chin.’ The texture as a exfoliator would be, is gritty. But the more I rubbed in, it settled down and warmed my face.

After 2 minutes, I stopped and went to relax for a while. As the instructions state. ‘Relax while the heat draws out impurities and then rinse away with warm water.’ The instructions don’t suggest times or anything of that kind. Sort of have to guess with that one and what feels right.

So for me, I watched some tv and chilled out on the sofa. When the heat disappeared, I decided it had worked its magic and time to wash off. Washing off seemed harder than others, though I washed with my warm water and my hands, its melted and stuck more than I imagined. In the end I just used the flannel, so I could get the remainder for the mask off.

My face felt so good for the rest of the night and even now 2 days on. It so soft and smooth. No impurities and my skin looks good and a glow is definitely there. A mask that’s results last this long, if not longer is amazing. The tube says use 1-2 times a week and honesty I can see that, with how long its lasting now.

skincare

Though I do have a really good skin, I do have to take care of it and this is really worth it. It averages around £12, which is pricey but you are getting multiply masks from this. I honestly used a pea size portion for my whole face and its 100mls. So technically I will be getting a lot of masks from this. A good 12 masks, if not more. We then are talking £1 a mask, which is amazing. There are deals on as well which will make this even more affordable.

The mask is so good, I can’t tell you enough actually. I love it! Some masks work too much but this, gave me the right amount of goodness. Which is the best kind of mask. Everyone needs a glow up now and again, remove them impurities and keep your skin looking its best.

100% invest in this mask. It’s worth every penny. Exfoliate your skin and leaves it looking amazing.

What is your go to face mask at the minute?
