It is face mask Friday and for once in my life, I have my act together and I am writing this for you. Sorry for being a little MIA recently, the masks were delivered to the wrong address and other things. Anyway I am back and my skin surely does feel better for a good face mask! Skincare is for anyone and everyone and you will always need a boost, even if its just every now and again. 

This week’s sheet mask is by the very well known brand Oh K! I personally love their masks and they are probably my favourite in the face mask industry. Somehow they have just got it right and their masks do as they say they will. They are affordable, Korean based, cruelty free and vegan friendly. Which is a huge thing and something I do look for in products. The cute little panda peeping over the top, isn’t just cute but is also there to symbolise not tested on animals. 

Tonight’s mask is their Hydrating Bamboo Water sheet mask with turmeric. A naturally hydrating sheet mask, filled with bamboo water, scarlet bee balm and turmeric. Aiming to brighten, moisturise and hydrate your skin. It has amino acids and flavonoids to help protect your skin from stress and can leave your skin looking fresh, as if you have just had 8 hours sleep or so! 

My skin is naturally a normal to dry consistency but recently its been more dry. In need of the boost. Most masks I do buy to review are based for helping my skin type. Though others do just take my fancy! This is definitely one my skin needed. An added boost of hydration. There are a few areas that are more dry and rough but my full face needed the boost. 

Sheet masks are really easy to follow and use! Easy as taking out the packet, unfolding it and placing it on. The only problem I find is that my face is naturally small, so the mask folds too much in the places I need the most attention. 

Anyway, instructions for this mask are on the back and they are in picture form only. I love picture form directions but some do need a little more explaining than what the picture makes out to do. Though sheet masks you can’t really go wrong with, just whack it on and let it absorb for a while. 

This is a 10-20 minute leave on sheet mask. Which is fairly average. The longer you leave the better I would say. Purely to allow the mask to work to its full potential. After a little fiddling around and smoothing out as much as possible, I went a chilled out for while. But honestly you can do anything with a mask on. So no excuses on looking after your skin. Go cook the dinner, do an online bit of yoga, hoover up or chill out. Take the rubbish out if you dare! 

The 20 minutes do go fast though and nothing like a quick YouTube video or my latest thing Disney +. Though the 10-20 minutes are a guideline, it is totally ok to leave on for longer if you want. They have a lot of goodness in them and sometimes my skin takes longer to absorb most of the mask. Again I want the full potential out of a mask, so the longer the better! 

After about 25 minutes I went back to the bathroom and took it off. As easy as sheet masks are to place on, is as easy as they are to take off. A flick of a corner and peel off the face. 

My face was left with a nice glow and a slight layer of the mask left to absorb. The directions show you to pad gently on your face to rub in the rest. Which actually this mask had enough to just do that and not have to wipe some of it off. If I was going straight to bed then I would of left it anyway. 

Though my skin looks in top condition 9 out of 10 times, its not and I could and can feel the difference this mask has made. We are heading into a warmer season and our skin is to adapt. This mask has definitely helped and given me the boost I needed. No longer does my skin feel dry and rough. It feels in perfect condition. Not a rough, dry patch in site. 

This mask was £4.50 and that is a fairly average price for a sheet mask. You are looking at spending around £5 a sheet mask. I know that is a one use price but really you are lucky to find many that are worth it for under that. For me this is affordable and even more so because it works. It does as it says it will and more. Never have Oh K!, let me down. Their products are really good and worth every penny and maybe more.
