It’s face mask Friday! Who enjoys a cosy night in, a chick flick and a good pamper session? I would happily opt for this than go out any time! As you all know I am one for a mask you apply over a sheet mask, maybe I have a Child’s size face or masks are just meant to be overly big. That is the only reason I choose a mask that needs applying over a sheet mask. I know a few of my social media friends who have tried this or one very similar so I thought I would try it out. I believe Garnier to be a really good brand so I picked *this mask up knowing others had tried it or similar and the well-known brand.
Though the weather is getting warmer and my skin is greatly improving I still tend to get drier areas of skin on my face. I always go towards masks that will help me to rehydrate, help with the dryness and boost my skin. That is another reason I picked this mask.
Like always as part of my evening routine, I shower and put my pyjamas on ready for bed. It’s so nice to be comfy in an evening. To be honest I would live in pyjamas if I could. I love to unwind, watch tv, the iPad or read whilst my face mask works its magic. I always follow the instructions, though the time may slightly slip if I am engrossed in show or chapter of a book.
1 thing I will say is my right eye is really sore and itchy from my hay fever allergies, so this was a bit awkward with the mask on. Next time I won’t be using with a sore eye. You can probably tell by my puffy eyes and darkness that my hay fever is causing havoc. Never the less I did my face mask. I would say do use when you aren’t suffering from hay fever but it does work the same.
When I got the mask out of the packet and went to apply, the mask was full of liquid and the blue layer which is meant for an outer layer for the mask whilst in the packaging was sort of coming away from the mask. I applied the mask as you can see and I found it easy to apply. The fit is better than others I have tried and I can say the slits in the sides really did help me pull this tighter to my skin. You can see this where my cheeks have an extra line of overlapped mask. I was super careful around my right eye especially. The fit is pretty good. Do they all think people have gigantic noses? The nose never seems to fit and you get the ruffles of mask up the nose.
I went away for about 15-20 minutes, relaxed and chilled. It is so nice to have that “me time” pamper time and a little self care for my skin. Skin care is so important. Though I have never had bad skin, in as far as spots and break outs, my skin tends to get dry more so in the colder months. Whether your skin is bad, good or ok you should have a skin care routine, whether that’s just day cream or the follow works. You are better to keep you skin in good condition, not even for now but for the future.
Anyway after the time was up, I took the mask off. Lots of moisture still to sink into my face which is good. I gently rub this in a little more and left to soak in.
I would recommend this face mask because it has left my skin really smooth and soft. Me taking that time each week to add extra moisture to my face is really helping the dryness. I have to say my skin has and is definitely improving. I have slight dryness to my jaw line but that is ever so slightly. The rest feels so good. Even days after it is in really good condition and from day 1 of this routine to now I can tell my skin is greatly appreciating my time and effort. There is definitely an improvement from then till now.
If you are looking to start a new routine or add into yours, what is one thing your skin needs? I would recommend this to anyone, someone starting out and wanting to experiment or for someone who just needs a little tender loving care. A face mask is always a good thing.
Garnier is such a good brand and I can’t wait to try more of their range out. I also want to work on my eyes more. Ok they are more puffy now because of hay fever and I am tired but its good for them to have that “me time” too.
What face mask would you recommend?
