Oh hello, I know it has been a while but I am finally back to review another face mask with you all. Skincare is really important to me and should be for everyone. If you think about it your skin is always on show and why not treat it as your eyes and teeth? Most masks I review are for my skin type normal to dry but others take my fancy as well and end up in the basket as well.
This week’s mask is by the well known brand Garnier. I use Garnier products daily actually and love them. Garnier moisture bombs are sheet masks and I have used a few of these before. Though today’s of course is new for me. Their Moisture Bomb Lavender Hydrating Face Sheet Mask is for dehydrated skin. It is meant to help to plump the skin with moisture, reduce the look of fine lines and revive radiance, so your skin with glow. The mask is vegan and created with an ultra thin tissue and infused with 1 weeks worth of hydrating serum.
Straight away the purple and the lavender stems excited me to try this mask. Though my skin like everyones needs that boost of moisture and hydrating, I love love love lavender. The packaging on this is very similar to any of Garnier’s moisture bomb sheet masks, with the circle and the image of the main ingredient and the branding. I would say the thing they change to get it to stand out or be its own is the colouring and linking it to the main ingredient which is of course lavender in the is case.
Other than how to apply and the timings to wear, I don’t overly read any of the information on the back. Do you? Really I guess I would only read it all if I had an allergic reaction or something. This is a 15 minute wear which is perfect to sit and watch something and within the ad breaks put on and take off.
Always put your hair up and out of your face with an Alice band. It is the worst when you take a sheet mask off and your hair is all stuck down on your face!!! Sheet masks are super easy to use, though I have a love hate relationship with them, they are good masks. Easy as taking out the packet, put on, adjust to fit as good as it can and wait the time. Though the guideline is 15 minutes for this mask, you could wear it for longer because there is a lot of liquid to it and would benefit from a longer absorbent time. Up to you though.
So I used this whilst I watched Changing Rooms and wore it for about 20 minutes, from just before the show to the first break. There was a lot left to absorb when I took off, so I would probably waiting 30 minutes next time. But it has worked and I just dabbed the rest in as much as I could and down my neck. The rest left to absorb just felt a little slimy. So I just wiped it off gently. If I was going to go bed straight away then I would of left it. But I wasn’t so needed removing a little.
Honestly my skin looks amazing and feels good. Today the day after it does have a slight sticky feeling but only the slightest. Not like things would stick to it. But if I touch it then it’s tacky more than anything. Lavender is something I love as I mentioned earlier but it can be overpowering. This wasn’t and that makes me love this mask even more.
Maybe the lavender is why I slept better last night though?! I can’t fault this mask really, its really good. Price wise its £2.99 which is a bargain as sheet masks average around £5. Right now it is on offer as I write this, so grab it while you can. Everyone needs that boost every now and again and this mask definitely does that. Yes I mention that my skin is tacky today. But I think that could be to how much I dabbed in and took off.
Would I recommend this? Of course it does work and my skin is hydrated and glowing. What is your go to mask at the minute?
