Face mask Friday

It is face mask Friday, the home working week is over and its the weekend. I for sure am thankful it’s the weekend and time to relax and unwind. Tell you what, a good pamper session sounds amazing right now because I am super tired because someone in this block of flats of mine has their alarm clock set for 3:37am and it’s so loud that I wake up to it most mornings. Every Friday I try a different face mask and review it for you. This sort of allows me to continue my skincare routine but give you a better review than you get on the website stores.

This week’s mask is by the brand Formula 10.0.6. A brand I haven’t used before. But of course its a peel off mask which are my favourite kinds! The Be Berry Clear Illuminating Peel mask is an antioxidant rich face mask. That uses a powerful blend of natural ingredients. Raspberries and the açai enriched formula are meant to sooth the skin. Calm the flare ups and minimise pores for a smooth, brightened complexion.

The packaging is simple and bold. Bright pink tube basically with baby pink and grey writing. If you are looking online or in a store, this for sure is going to stand out on the shelf and scream hello. I love how the simple but bold and bright makes this more noticeable and will instantly draw the customers eye to it. So simple with the brand small at the top in grey. To be honest you have to look twice to see it on there. Be Berry Clear is really largely printed and each line that goes down the tube gradually gets smaller.

On the back, it has the instructions, ingredients and things like that. The instructions are always good to read because some masks love to surprise you with different times to wear, how to start or random things along the way. This mask is a leave on for 10-15 minutes mask. Then peel it off. I have to say I love instructions in picture and written form, this is only in written form. But simply written to make it user friendly.

Starting with a clean, dry, cleansed face, this mask is really easy to apply. Make sure you have a knot wrap or hairband in though because this mask is one definitely that doesn’t mix well with hair! The steps are quick and easy. All I had to do was peel the seal off and used my fingers to apply a thin layer across my face and neck.

From the colour of the tube and the berries being in this. I thought the mask would be a brighter pink. On my skin it was hardly noticeable. So I did apply a little extra in places that looked to have none on. Because it says to apply a thin layer. A little goes a long way. Again I did patch up a few places after but realistically if you apply it evenly first you are good to go.

Its a leave for 10-15 minute mask. That is time for you do to whatever you want to do. Or need to. Skincare is so important and you really do need to look after your skin as you do your eyes and teeth. Think of it as your face is the only thing on show 24 hours a day. Why not make the effort to make it healthy and nice! You really can’t say you don’t have time either because in 15 minutes there is a lot you can do. It is purely priorities and getting them straight. 15 minutes, that dinner prepped or even cooked in some cases. A quick wipe round with the hoover. Read a chapter of your book. YouTube videos are normally around the 15 minute mark as well. See the choices you have? Even just have a lay down with the mask on.

The time goes really fast and before you know it with peel off mask, the mask is set and you can hardly make any facial expressions. If you even try to it cracks a little. This is what I find weirdly fascinating particularly when you go to pull it off and it peels off fully!

When the time was finished I read the instructions again. Normally I peel masks off from the top of my forehead, wherever has lifted. This mask says peel up from your chin. So I did that. Disappointingly it didn’t peel off in one go. But it’s rare that they do.

skincare

If I hadn’t applied an extra layer to my left cheek I think the peel off would have been better. My advise would be that if you see wet patches on your face still to leave it on for longer. A peel off mask is meant to be peeled off and not washed off. Quite a lot on my left cheek was left and took a while to wipe then wash off.

skincare

After the mask is peeled off you are instructed to wash you face thoroughly with warm water then pat it dry. So to be honest a little bit here and there doesn’t overly matter. You may just not get the masks full potential there.

skincare

To be honest with you all my skin is in a pretty good condition at the minute. After I used this mask my face was and still is smoother and softer to touch. I had a small break out on my jaw line and that seems to have improved. My forehead thought isn’t as soft to touch. It’s a little bumpy like something is about to happen. Who knows when or why because I never get spots or shall I say I rarely do. Once in a blue moon.

skincare

I would recommend this mask. It has given me the boost I needed. My skin is clearer and softer than it was before. Though my forehead needs a little more work. Even my nose has become softer. With me blowing it every 10 minutes because of hay fever I am really happy this cleared my nose up.

skincare

The mask retails at £7.50 for 100 mls. You are honestly using about the size of a 50p to cover my whole face and neck. So the tube will last you a long while. It says to use this mask 2-3 times a week so you will probably get 3 months out of the mask. More depending on the frequency you use it.

skincare

It does what it says it’s going to, so I really can’t fault it. If I could definitely say these bumps were on my forehead before trying this mask I would think that it wasn’t as good. But honestly I don’t remember them being there or not and I am not 100% sure its spots, if anything other than textured.

Be Berry ticks the box in my opinion and I would recommend this to others. Go get yours today. What is your go to mask at the minute?
