Happy face mask Friday everyone! Who’s happy it’s the weekend? Because I sure am. It’s been a long week and I am ready for a chilled evening, catch up on stuff, a pamper and an early night. What are your plans this Friday evening? Whether you are out on the town or in for a chilled autumn evening, you always have time for a face mask.
This week I am reviewing the last in the pack of 3 from Anatomicals. You can buy it separately, but the packs work out cheaper. It also gives you a chance to try 3 of their masks rather than 1. Tonight’s mask is Grease isn’t the word. A mask that helps take the extra oils and grease out of your skin. My skin type is dry to normal in tone but only recently it has a slight oil texture to it. I am upping my game with my skincare routine, but I wouldn’t say it would have increased that massively from one extra product.
Skincare is so important and should be to everyone. If you think about it your face especially is on show to the world all day every day and you want to look your best right? Even with aging you want to age well rather than look awful. I have always had to skin and haven’t really experienced acne or spots. My skin is clear and has been, getting the odd blemish but that is rare. You could say that’s good and not do anything to help it, but I am nearly 30 and aging well so why not have good skin my whole life?
Anatomicals have the best packaging. I love the bright colours, simple packaging with the name and information written boldly and clearly. This makes it stand out on the shelves of products making you want that one. They are very quirky with their product names and phrases. Adding something sort of childish or well known but adapting them to be relevant to that product. Today’s being a mattifying mask to remove the extra ‘grease’ from your face. The random fact on the back links to the movie Grease and the mask too. Its clever how they get them to relate.
Masks are always good as part of skincare. I love them and find them really handy to just have on hand or to improve your routine adding one or two in weekly. Monthly at a push. For me I prefer masks you apply over sheet masks, because sheets just don’t fit my face properly. That is a reason I love Anatomical ones.
As always, I read the instructions. Though most are worn for 10-20 minutes you can never be sure that is the case. I had one to wear for a minute before! This is one to wear for 10-15 minutes. Apply to a dry, clean face. Wear and wash off with warm water and a flannel.
Another love about Anatomicals is that they are clever enough to know that masks sink to the bottom of the packets. They have added the opening to the bottom, so the mask is easily removed and applied straight away. How helpful is that?
When I opened this, the scent was fresh, clean sort of smell and a touch of toothpaste mint kind of smell. A sky blue colour and smooth texture. To apply a good layer to get the best results I used most of the pack. Which is rare thing for me to do.
I found it really hard to get an even layer across my face. It was easy to apply but it looked to just not want to cover some areas leaving them patchy. Another reason why I may have used more than I would do normally. To try fill the patches.
Once applied as good as I could apply it. I went off and read for the time. There is quite a lot you can do in that 15 minute window to be honest so you really can’t say you don’t have time for masks.
One thing that I find strange is that all the Anatomical masks I have tried, they never dry out in the time. They all are still like they were when I applied. Anyway, with the time up I wet a flannel with warm water and washed it off.
It washed off in roughly 4 attempts or wipes. They come off pretty easy and you aren’t left with finding random patches on your chin or hair line the next morning! The mask is mean to leave your face hydrated and revitalised. Leaving your skin bright, pure and healthy. To regulate the excess oil to gain a shine free complexion.
My face feels smooth, hydrated and actually the perfect mixture or normal to dry skin. It’s not too dry if at all dry and its pretty normal. Where the mask hasn’t sat, like my jaw line it’s sort of sticky and has extra or more oil than it needs. I wish I had applied more mask to my jaw line now.
Even today as I type this up, a few days after. My face is in really good condition. There isn’t much I can fault about this mask. I normally get drier in my t zone area especially and that hasn’t dried at all it’s in a good state. Not overly too much or too little. Just the perfect amount. It’s the stickiness that frustrates me. Ok it’s not like left over wax when you have your eyebrows waxed or anything of that sort but it’s just tacky.
Anatomicals are a really good brand. I love them. They stand out with their bold, bright and quirky ways. The pricing is cheap and reasonable. Customer wise, anyone can buy from them. Products for all skin types and its handy to be that cheap you can try whatever you want for such a small price. That is why it’s also good to buy the pack of 3. So, you get to try 3 instead of 1!
Apart from the mask not covering my face well, I can’t fault this mask. It has done exactly what it said it would. I would recommend this to anyone. If you are feeling like you need to clean your skin of the excess oil and what not else that gathers daily on your face. Then this is a mask for you. To be fair it’s good to mattify and hydrate your face whatever your skin type is. Money wise 100% worth it and more!
Anatomicals are and will be a go to for beauty and skincare products now. I love them for the reasonable pricing and the goodness of their products. Love their quirky ways of making their products stand out and somehow in a childish or different way make you think about things more and why you do.
What is your go to mask at the minute? Would you recommend this to me?
